Malls

I used to spend a lot of time walking around malls in RL just looking.  People watching, product watching, dreaming about what I’d buy if I could afford it, mentally making fun of others (or envying them) for what they were wearing or doing.  I find that I enjoy doing the same thing in SL.  Which is one of the main reason I tend to walk around malls instead of fly around or just tp in to grab the freebie and leave.  Everything here amazes me – everything I’m looking at from the wallpaper to the counter to the little un-necessary for business but oh-so-necessary for effect details like a cash register… everything is made by someone starting out with the same little box or sphere that boggles my mind.  The only drawback to mall walking in SL is that when I go shopping in RL I find myself looking for the freebies! Oh – and I made the mistake of wearing my new high heeled boots – OUCH!

Anyway – here’s an ongoing list of malls I’ve found to wander around, shop, and people watch at.

La Reina – It’s a white boardwalk on the water.  Reminds me of shopping in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.  I expect the smell of salt and the call of seagulls.  Very quaint. http://slurl.com/secondlife/La%20Reina/201/125/23

Kaizen Retailers, Inc. – Is a peaceful oriental style shopping area.  Seems to have a little of everything from AO to clothing to artwork.  I originally found it when I was doing a Year of the Rat hunt and I’ve been back several times as the designers seem to love doing other small hunts and giving out freebies. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Lythria/21/51/81

Cotton Candy – another outdoor mall on the water, but this time it’s stained wood.  Has lots of cute places to shop including one of my personal favorites CRAP!
